Final Treatment
The music begins, and at the first beat, we see a montage of relatively modern London landmarks. The quick bleeps will sync with the cuts, and we make a "tour" around london, in montage form. At the beginning of the song proper, and the first verse, we see one of the band members running through these locations in London, such as the BA Eye and Tower Bridge. Speed is really emphasised here through camerawork, think - Top Gear, as the car drives past the very low angle shot, the camera physically shakes to emphasise the velocity.
We cut to a montage of the band again, this time individually playing their instruments around london. The background will change, but they will still be performing, and as the background rapidly changes, they will jolt and shudder, completely out of position and much more rough-and-ready.
The verse comes in again, and we again cut to another band member running through central London. This time, there are two of them, converging half way through and running together. Note that all of the band members are carrying a part of their instruments, ie. Lead - Microphone in hand, Guitarist - Plectrum in hand, Drummer - Drumsticks in hand. The contrast is high, and features are defined. Indie/punk clothing is essential here, and such items will include wristbands, skinny jeans, tight t-shirts or shirts and ties, all in black and white colour schemes.
Again we cut to another montage, but the band performance is much more heavy and they perform with more energy and anger. This gives a sense of progression through the video. We suddenly cut to a half-lit room, with a microphone stand, a drum kit and a guitar in position on the floor. The three band members jump into the frame as if they had been running all this time to get here. First to arrive is the drummer, in time to play a strong beat. Shortly after him is the guitarist, who just picks up his guitar in time to play the riff, and finally is the lead singer, who slots his mic into the stand just in time to scream his heart out.
Intersperse the performance in this room with random shots of the previous London landmarks, and have the band getting more and more angry in this room that they're in. During the performance, they will change positions, have their instrumets disappear from time to time, and also disappear themselves for split seconds. This gives the video an edgy, grungy feel.
The climax of the song approaches, and the band now seem furious. Large gushes and sprays of paint cover them from head to toe, and they stand, completey drenched.
The song ends, and we fade back into them, this time in a bathroom cleaning their faces of the paint, in a huff. We fade out...
